Her skincare routine, best makeup tips, and self-care advice

You probably already know Victoria Beckham as a member of the popular 90’s pop group Spice Girls. Since quitting her music career, Victoria has successfully established herself in the global fashion and beauty industry through her growing brands, Victoria Beckham & Victoria Beckham Beauty. All representing her character: sexy, elegant, and feminine.

“Beauty has always been a passion of mine, and it really began during my time in the Spice Girls. I always enjoyed sitting in makeup chairs, learning tips and tricks whilst discovering my personal makeup preferences. I’ve always loved beauty products but felt there was a gap in the market for clean, high-performing, luxury products—some of which were missing from my own makeup bag. When I met my co-founder, Sarah Creal, a longtime beauty executive [and the former head of product development at Estée Lauder], we discovered we had a shared passion and philosophy.”

01. Skincare routine

“I’m religious about my skincare routine. I struggled with my skin for years, so ensuring it’s clean and healthy is a big part of my beauty routine. At night, I use an oil cleanser first because it really does get the dirt and makeup off your face—so many cleansers claim to take makeup off but actually don’t—without stripping the natural oils that you want to hang on to. Then I’ll use a gel cleanser after that. But if I’m traveling and my skin is feeling a little drier, maybe I’ll just use the oil cleanser. After I cleanse my face, I apply a serum, making sure that I press it into my skin, neck, and chest area quite firmly, followed by a moisturizer—I feel like I have the perfect foundation for makeup with those two on.”

02. Eye masking

“I love an eye mask in the mornings, either as part of my skincare routine or whilst blowing out my hair—I want to use every minute wisely for extra skincare benefits. A face roller and a gua sha are especially brilliant post flights and for depuffing.”

03. Best makeup tip

“My absolute favorite makeup trick is to apply a neutral-colored eyeliner on my bottom inner waterline to color correct and brighten up my eyes. It lights up my whole face and makes me look like I’ve had eight hours of really good sleep. It has become such a staple in my beauty routine.”

04. Favorite scent

“Diptyque is my go-to candle brand. I adore a candle. I surround myself with them everywhere, both at home, in the office, and even at my Dover Street store! Years and years and years ago, I made a fragrance called Intimately Beckham with my husband. I really enjoyed the process of creating it. But just like with my makeup, I didn’t want to compromise and I wanted to do things my way, so about eight years ago I started working with Jérôme Épinette, who is the most amazing perfumer. I knew that I had to take my time with the fragrances we worked on, because independently launching a fragrance is a huge undertaking. I was in absolutely no rush.”

05. Self-care advice

“Creating healthy sleep habits is incredibly important; it’s become a key part of my self-care practice. I’ve been working on incorporating less screen time and more mindfulness into my routine, which means putting my phone away before bedtime. I also like to keep crystals on my nightstand for extra clarity.”

06. Bath routine

“I love a warm bath, especially on days when I’m on back-to-back calls, I like to use Epsom salts to unwind from the day. I usually follow this with a body oil and use it on my damp skin to lock in moisture.”
